So you think you can snow-dance?

The last thing a county with a $144 million revenue shortfall needs is a blizzard.

Don Mohler, a county spokesman, said he and County Executive Jim Smith tried to ward off the impending storm with a little anti-snow dance.

“Last week I used all my bad dance moves,” said Mohler. “I even had the county executive doing a little butter-churn move.”

It was all for naught, though, as many areas of the county saw more than 2 feet of heavy snow pile up.

So what about the storm predicted for tomorrow? Mohler said the county “hopes the predictions are wrong that this one passes us by.”

How much hope? Will there be more dancing?

“I don’t know what else I can crank out,” Mohler said, adding the forecast, “is looking pretty ominous.”
